My eldest is a senior this year, but my youngest still has two more years of highschool. My last job was in automotive and I had *at least* an hour commute one-way, so I was gone nearly 12 hours a day. I took a $6/hr paycut to get a third shift job (knew I wouldn't get day shift) closer to home so I could spend time with my kids. I know by the time they turn 18 I've spent 95% of the time I'll have with them. All I'll have left is holidays.

I think this is probably a repeat but the comment fucking makes it worth it...
