XMR is not "anonymous crypto for criminals"
It's what cash was before everything went digital

For Bitcoin, running a Tor node makes no sense.
For Monero, it does.

How decentralized are crypto networks really?
#Monero: 25,863 nodes
#Bitcoin: 23,795 nodes
#Zcash: 978 nodes

Ode to Fungible Money
Bitcoin stands naked, the chain sees it all.
Your coffee, your rent, every call.
Two-meg blocks after ten years of fights,
Ordinals JPEGs clogging the nights.
Chainalysis snitches, Coinbase tags your stack:
“Digital Gold” with the feds on your back.
And Zcash? Lol, Ztrash, the privacy LARP.
Opt-in to hiding, most users don't bark.
Trusted Setup ritual, “toxic waste burned”
Trust us, bro, no lessons learned.
Premine for breakfast, dev-tax for lunch,
a CEO, a foundation, a Wall Street brunch.
But Monero, my Monero, you flow like the tide,
Every coin is every coin, none classified.
Stealth keys cloaking, every sender a ghost,
And FCMP++ is about to roast the most.
The whole chain is your anonymity set,
Good luck, Chainalysis: place your bet.
No premine, no CEO, no dev-tax, no shill,
No BlackRock ETF, no boomer to chill.
Just code, just cypher, just cash, just clean,
One XMR. One XMR. Fungible. Unseen.
Delisted, deplatformed, dismissed as a meme.
That's how you know you're the cypherpunk dream.
What the state fears most ain't ETFs, ain't gold,
It's money it can't see. And that's what you hold.
Monero makes privacy mandatory. Every transaction is private.
Zcash makes it optional and most transactions stay transparent. A “privacy coin” hardly used for privacy isn’t one. It’s just a bullshit branding with a whitepaper.
yearly up trend

Bitcoin did not just create a currency, it built a surveillance industry.
Chainalysis, Elliptic and a whole ecosystem of trackers owe their billion-dollar valuations to BTCs transparent ledger. Without it, they would not have a business.
Privacy is power
What they can’t see
they can’t destroy
Bitcoin's greatest success is ultimately making Monero indispensable.
Bitcoin has managed to eliminate the word “privacy” from its vocabulary, and yet Maxis solemnly claims it is “peer-to-peer electronic cash”. WTF.

KYC? No, thanks: how identity verification harms privacy

KYC? No, thanks: how identity verification harms privacy | KYCnot.me
KYC was sold as a way to stop criminals. In practice it excludes the unbanked, leaks personal data on dark web markets, and surveils everyone else.
With a Master in Blockchain & Digital Assets, I’m disillusioned with crypto. Too much fraud, hype and contradiction. Exchanges preach cypherpunk ideals yet delist Monero. To me, Monero remains the only truly non-state, fungible money.
1 year of Monero transactions

🚨 Breaking: Monero devs announce 'Project ClearView', all transactions will now be fully public and traceable starting today. Privacy is so 2025. View your neighbor's XMR balance in real-time!

The Monero community is divided. On one side are collectivist-leaning perspectives, on the other strongly market-oriented actors, with liberals, libertarians, and anarchists in between who reject collectivism. This diversity makes it a fitting environment for fungible money.
