Why do centralized exchanges continue to list Zcash while delisting Monero?
Z“cash” – so-called “privacy” coin
Regarding cash's core properties (like fungibility), even the name is wrong and misleading
“Monero's probably not an investment. It's designed to be a currency, and in particular it's designed to be a privacy-preserving currency.”
Riccardo Spagni
“We must defend our own privacy if we expect to have any. We must come together and create systems which allow anonymous transactions to take place.”
Eric Hughes
A Cypherpunk's Manifesto (1993)

Incidentally, traders can often be distinguished from true Monero users by their love of boating.

Yes, the Monero price pump is nice to see, but what truly matters is:
Privacy
Freedom
Fungibility
Community
Decentralization
The fundamentals that make Monero more than just another pump and dump coin.
If you want to use crypto as digital cash, the first question to ask is: is it fungible?

“Monero has value... because it's a tool for freedom, not because it's a blind bet on number-go-up.”
Seth For Privacy

“Electric Coin Company [...] received between $350,000 and $1,000,000 from US authorities as payroll support.” in 2020

“A coin that carries memory carries burden; a coin that forgets is reborn each time it moves.”
Moneroshin (モネロシン)
It's a clever move to “overtake” Monero as privacy coin number one (marketcap only, but enough for avg user) and simultaneously establish a new “pump and dump” coin, because the original Bitcoin is no longer performing well (sticks at 100k).

“To be one with Monero is to dissolve the self into the swarm; Indistinguishable, unbreakable, untouchable.”
Moneroshin (モネロシン)
Ah, now I get it. Crypto is not about the fight for privacy against the tyrannical, parasitic elite that surveils, robs and controls us. It is about greed and self-enrichment. How could I have missed it?
