Thinking about how easy it is for us to turn something into an existential crutch. I’ve been reducing my coffee intake, and when I hit my daily limit, I find myself wondering what the hell is the point of all this? 😂

If only they knew that bitcoin would let us build these again.

Square launching lightning payments is almost enough to make me want to visit the U.S. again.
Perhaps the saddest thing about the AI revolution will be losing the ability to know if cute dog videos are real.
Why doesn’t anyone in Bitcoin use a Lucha Libre mask for a privacy masks?

I’m spending a few nights in an expensive city next weekend and I asked an old friend who lives there if I could spend a few nights at his place. I could do Airbnb or hotel but they’re completely overpriced. I’ve known this guy for close to 25 years. Yet I felt this guilt of burdening him by asking.
On the flip side, I’ve let bitcoiners stay at my place and vice versa, without question or hesitation. Sometimes after knowing each other for days or even hours. (Note that it’s always a mutual friend connection that I trust, not just any random person).
I think that says a lot about having a shared passion and vision for the world.
My friend stopping me from saying “Bitcoin, you dumb fuck” when someone complains about the cost of living.

I don’t think he should be fired, but I can tell you with complete confidence that Jimmy Kimmel is a complete and utter piece of shit.

We have a great opportunity to opt out of hate algos here, don’t we? Seems like a good choice.
I used to think I was being intellectually balanced by staying engaged with old friend groups I disagreed with. I wanted to avoid being in an echo chamber. But seeing some of them laugh and celebrate today’s shooting has made it clear that they have lost their humanity.
I can’t tell if Canadian crime is doing a hockey stick curve up or if my algo’s are just feeding me more of it. Gonna say it’s both.
The absolute state of discourse on X right now.

Anyone have any opinions on Libre Office privacy/safety? I used to use it years ago but haven’t paid much attention recently.
Governments: Bitcoin is risky. Our systems are much safer and reliable.
Also governments when I need a new car registration slip from out of province:
please pretend it’s 1991 and fax us a letter containing your name, birthdate, credit card number, licence number, VIN, and master account number.
