It’s a great day to be alive

I was informed yesterday of being elected to the Certified American Grown board of directors. I’ve never been one for politicking, but I’m hoping to at least explain Triffin’s dilemma and why it means the # of American farmers must continue to decrease in this monetary system. If I can orange pill another flower farmer then I’ll consider that icing on the cake, but the overall goal is to bring some awareness about the struggles in American agriculture. We can’t blame imports and off-shoring on the people in other countries, we have to look at the system we operate in and ask why have domestic farmers not been able to compete? #bitcoin #agriculture #policy

Took some time off work the day after thanksgiving to visit the farm with the puppy. Here’s a shot of our hellebores popping up. Something about Nostr feels more sincere than other social networks. Maybe it’s the fact that most interactions are with strangers, yet many of these strangers share some common core beliefs and values. Who can say, but I’ve sure gotten a lot of insight from other accounts, particularly the homestead community. I can’t say I get this same kind of education from another platform anywhere else

Big things are coming soon at the farm. Here’s a new planting we made this year of hellebores. #Bitcoin has taught us a low time preference, and this here is one example. The plants take over 3 years to become fully mature and produce substantially. It’s a big upfront investment but one that will pay off over the long term

Here is some of our ranunculus starting to sprout. We plant in plastic Dutch crates to avoid gopher and water logging problems. With any luck of a mild and sunny winter we may have flowers to sell for Valentine’s Day, but more than likely these guys will start producing in March #flowers #flowerstr

I have a simple idea to fix the whole cost of living crisis in America, anyone making under $100,000 pays zero income tax. I feel like this is a pretty easy sell politically (especially with the millennials/gen Z who make up the largest voting block), maybe it will catch on
