Low status fiat heretic. Often wrong. 2 + 2 = 4
Everyone acts out of self interest. Except for the government who follow the rule of law why do you hate democracy you conspiracy theorist!
Massive red flag ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ when a company claims to be doing good by 100% reinvesting their "profits" into some cause. Clear incentive for management to pay themselves more, or run the company less efficiently.
Makes me think of these quotes by Milton Friedman:
>"Insofar as [a business executive's] actions in accord with his "social responsibility" reduce returns to stockholders, he is spending their money. Insofar as his actions raise the price to customers, he is spending the customers' money. Insofar as his actions lower the wages of some employees, he is spending their money."
>"The stockholders or the customers or the employees could separately spend their own money on the particular action if they wished to do so."
Climate alarmist propaganda is in full force recently. Literally every 2nd headline on BBC. Just learned that asphalt burns are now on the rise due to climate change ๐

So many examples of mainstream media trying to profit from outrage. Today I thought I'd read a nice simple article about Italian food. Alas, I learn that thinking Italian recipes are traditional is right-wing ๐ซข But, of course, my annoyance is one of the intended reactions since there's a link at the bottom to a rebuttal ... another article for me to spend more time reading the FT.

If The Fed is mostly a posturing institution, then its biding its time when it can give the narrative that inflation has fallen and is stable. Their goal will be to set expectations lower.
Every time they hike, it tells people inflation is still high and they need higher pay increases. They will have no choice but to switch directions.

Bitcoin is only used by criminals, and also Bitcoin can't even be used by criminals because all transactions are public.

If you want to feel bullish, listen to this interview by the world's most famous financial journalist of a prominent Bitcoin and crypto skeptic.
I probably agree with a lot of the critique of "crypto", but the bitcoin criticism is very shallow, self-centered, and uninformed. Lots of muddling up the two, and a heavy dose of smug.
If this is the best criticism out there, then it easily explains how the midwits are going to continue to be left behind while the rest of us continue winning.
