It was adorable seeing a koala in the yard this morning but pretty soon I'm going to have to try to get to sleep with that thing growling outside my bedroom window all night. For those who've never lived around them, they make hideous noises at night.

We just watched a koala climb the tree outside our kitchen window, about 2 metres from the house, which absolutely made the kids' Easter morning. Unfortunately I culdn't get a pic until he got near the top - they can move surprisingly quickly when they want to.

From Tom Luongo's latest piece in Zero Hedge. He's talking about oil and stocks here but it seems equally relevant to Bitcoin given it's reputation for volitility.

I just watched a clip of some 12 year-old futurist pontificating about how AI is going to completely change the world. It was the same techno-utopian bullshit we've been hearing for the past half a century but what really struck me was how completely ignorant he was of history. When he spoke of the past it was clear he didn't have the slightest idea of what he was talking about - it was just a bunch of vague trivia he'd picked up via cultural osmosis. He knows nothing of what came before and to him it's all obsolete now anyway. People like that frighten me.

Once again, Amethyst's auto-translate provides some of the best content on here.

"The chatbot, created by OpenAI, said Turley had made sexually suggestive comments and attempted to touch a student while on a class trip to Alaska, citing a March 2018 article in The Washington Post as the source of the information. The problem: No such article existed."

Are badges still a thing or was that just a moment of irrational exuberance?
