If people aren't spending Bitcoin at your Bitcoin conference, is it even a Bitcoin conference? Adopting Bitcoin Cape Town had a total of 356 attendees, including volunteers, staff, organizers, etc. A total of 490 Bitcoin transactions were made, spending 1 601 729 sats. Our account on X has just been suspended. We're moving to Nostr as our a primary source of information during the conference, until further notice. The way I feel now, fuck X. Never going back there. This is shaping up to be a hugely successful conference, tickets are basically sold out, we have some two of the largest political parties involved with senior leaders participating, there's huge excitement... ...and two days before the conference, we kicked off from Elon's pet project, for undetermined reasons.
