I was today years old when I found out donating blood has actual personal health benefits beyond Good Samaritan vibes. After battling mild high blood pressure for the last 8 years, talking with at least 10 Dr’s and nurse practitioners- one Dr. finally said after looking at my latest blood draw - Hey, you should be giving blood. DUH! This makes so much sense! Gave yesterday and am feeling great, BP well into very normal range. Now it will be every 3 months. Mind blown…simplest answer for system improvement.
