Remembering my great uncle PFC Edwin Pina today. In WWII with the US Army he fought his way through Omaha Beach on D-Day all the way to Morhange, France where he died in November 1944 at the age of 23. Received a bronze star for his bravery as a machine gun loader. His section of the company was entrenched within range of enemy artillery. Never retreated and returned to battle after being wounded multiple times😤🙏🏻 They don’t make men like they used too. Happy Memorial Day and God bless.
