It sucks for people who have tied their public Bitcoin image to promoting changes like SegWit, Taproot, & Op Return relaxation.
But if your Ego is too fragile to admit mistakes, then you aren’t doing Bitcoin any favors pretending like these 3 things aren’t problematic.

I don’t believe/think Ocean and Datum are decentralized.
I don’t trust Luke or Mechanic blindly.
I don’t agree with Luke on CTV. Not totally sure where Mechanic stands on it.
I agree with Luke & Mechanic on Filters and trying to Decentralize Block Templates.
All I see is a dereliction of duty by Core, and I see Luke picking up the slack doing thankless necessary grunt work to help optimize and maintain Bitcoin.
Luke/Knots/Ocean/DATUM seem to have a better handle on game theory, strategy, risk assessment and damage control than Core.
I didn’t know who Mechanic was when I started tweeting out about all the bullshit Spam we were seeing in early 2023 and started pushing back on more changes.
Mechanic, Luke, and many others have arrived at similar conclusions about Bitcoin in parallel thinking for ourselves.

Covenants seem like they could make Bitcoin more like Real Estate and less like Money.
Bitcoin isn’t designed to store the data for arbitrary and subjective covenant conditions/restrictions.
Subjective expressivity belongs in meatspace in a legal contract.

Smart users need Simple Money that simply expresses objective Time & Energy.
