v1.12.1 — a repair release. Nothing new on screen, one crash gone.
The app could die right after an update, while it was still open. A background job starting Laravel a second time — the one that checks for new messages, or the one that runs queued work — tore down the running engine instead of attaching to it. It never happened on a cold start, only in that window, which is why it looked random rather than reproducible.
Background work now waits for the first boot after an update to finish before it touches anything, instead of racing it.
And the rule that only portal links under /app/ open in the app, while everything else stays in your browser, is no longer a local patch on top of NativePHP — it is part of NativePHP now. Same behaviour, one less thing that can silently fall away on the next update. The build refuses to produce an APK whose manifest disagrees.
Still no Play Store, still no Google Services — your phone talks to the relay itself.

Nobody sees the content — not even the relay operator. Who writes to whom is visible to other members on a zooid space; on a Buzz space it is not. The app says that on the screen rather than promising more than it holds. The old chat DMs stay exactly as they are with their history — they were never encrypted, so nothing could move over.
You can now hide a person for yourself, without asking a moderator. It hides them in your own chat list and is not a ban.
Also new: PDFs and videos go into the chat, you can mute or star a room from the phone, the next meetup date sits in the room header with an RSVP, and search finds your conversations by name.

Bookmarks and chat settings are in your profile menu.
Moderators can work from the phone: reports, join requests, roles, invites — and a timed suspension instead of removing or banning someone.
Direct messages now show up in the room list, and you can start one from the phone if the relay supports them. They are not end-to-end encrypted, so keep that in mind.
Also new: bookmark a message, vote on forum topics, let the relay remind you about a message, and see who is online.

Quotes are cards now, so context stays readable.
Also in: restricted rooms say what they are instead of failing silently, the room header no longer freezes on a wrong hint, the non-member gate tells each person the sentence that is true for them, and contrast got sharper in both themes.

🔐 Your wallet stops forgetting itself
A connection made in the first split second after launch could lose its way, and a connected NWC wallet looked like it had wiped its own settings. Signing at startup was hit by the same fault. Fixed at the root — and saving your Lightning address no longer reports a red error from a relay that never wanted it.

Project-support rooms now sit in their own section instead of crowding the general list — and a deleted room stops flashing back, a renamed one updates on the spot.
