Bitcoiners are 3 camps rn I feel: 1. Tech / Layer2 / Ordinals 2. Bank / Treasury / MSTR 3. HODL / Lightning / Blockstream You can be 1/3 or 2/3. God forbid you’re a soulless 3/3 hahaha

The KEY difference between protocols Bitcoiners support vs see as shitcoining actually lies in Turing-completeness and even as a JPEG enjoyer myself, I strongly hold the position that Bitcoin should NOT be Turing-complete. Truth is, everyone wants to see Bitcoin being used and not become irrelevant. JPEG use accelerates today at the expense of tomorrow. Filters inhibit usage today at the benefit of tomorrow. IMO, the only thing that still holds back bitcoin from regular use in self-custody is a programmable escrow system and that's what all the hullabaloo needs to actually focus on. Today, we rely on crazy collateral and economic security to do this and it's incredibly inefficient.

sometimes I get stuck when I have too many small competing priorities. my rule of thumb is to deal with annoying nitty gritties early in the morning and accumulate the rest for tomorrow or another day

HOT TAKE, might DELETE LATER: People who come to Bitcoin for sound money and the Bitcoin Standard often end up just holding it like Gold, waiting for the day it will be used by everyone and are afraid of changes to Bitcoin even if it helps with self-banking because they’re afraid Bitcoin will be used for gambling, laundering, terrorism, porn and usury. However, if people believe Bitcoin is money, they should support people’s choice and ability to use it any way they wish - so long as it’s in self-custody and we don’t give up our keys to Blockstream, Strike, Coinbase, or Microstrategy. Custodians like them don’t have a real incentive to support Bitcoin’s actual every day adoption. They’ve increased the price for sure, but achieved this through centralization. The truth is that Bitcoin’s real failure will be its inability to scale as a technology so that anyone (all 8 billion people) can use Bitcoin without any middle men - without losing keys or succumbing to fraud or being disinherited. I would hate to see other networks and technologies make the fiat experience better than Bitcoin. Please build more and build anything on Bitcoin - this will further, simplify and expand Bitcoin adoption for daily use in business. Yes, some implementations make illicit use of Bitcoin easier than others and we should continue having that conversation. However, let’s focus more of our time and efforts on the conversation to advance self-custody and a basic programmable escrow standard for Bitcoin instead of relying on trust and inefficient collateral structures in all the places that trustlessness matters most.

maaan AI can design the full backend and frontend APIs and then miss out on the details like using the right header of GET vs POST🤦‍♂️ - real intern vibes lol

came across another AI issue today that proves you still need some understanding of computer science to really effectively build - asynchronous calls, frontend was calling a backend api which called a 3rd party api and did not wait for 3rd party response, sending an error to the frontend

My prof used to harp on about naming conventions in university - never really understood the pain till I started building with a team, and still now AI cries to me about my terrible naming convention changes halfway through the build... it's costing me dollars 😂

For Muslims: Riba means to increase. Bay’ means to trade. Increase is an injustice when no risk or exchange is undertaken. Credit creation along with debasement of currency are very much riba though we don’t seem to think about them as such. Leave Fiat. Make hijra to sound money.

A quick guide @Irsham and @MozzyX helped troubleshoot for getting into and inviting others to Nostr. It’s actually really easy these days. @YakiHonne is great for iPhone, @Amethyst better for Android. Of course, you may recommend your own favorite client like @Damus Step 1: create npub and nsec on nostr.com and store in a safe place. Step 2: create a Coinos wallet at Coinos.io and note your receive address ending with @coinos.io Step 3: install or open YakiHonne and login with your nsec, then edit your profile adding your Coinos address to the “Lightning Address” field Step 4: go back to Coinos settings and under Nostr, copy the NWC Step 5: go to YakiHonne settings -> wallet and select “add” -> nostr wallet connect and paste the NWC you copied from Coinos Step 6: follow me - kode@noornode.nostr1.com and post a hello note to Nostr Images attached are for Step 3

Covenants are a key primitive in trade. They unlock Bitcoin as money and more business in Bitcoin.
