We began the era of AI in 2025 for real. Yes, a lot of the hype is fake and fiat but just like with the internet, when the dust settles and bubbles pop, it will be obvious to everyone how productive we can become with it. In the new era however, trust is becoming an issue: the same tool that boosts productivity in good hands can generate slop in another. The result is more of everything, just like with the internet, and filtering noise is going to be the name of the game. That's why we need places of high trust. The more open and auditable while remaining curated is the right recipe. It turns out that discord controls just about everything from users to data and integrations. It's the usual closed platform with minimal twists to make it seem like it's "yours". The usual fiat mentality of minimum effort short-term, traded for lock-in longterm. We want better. We want: 1. Open-source 2. Easy-to-run 3.
