Deep Survival by Lawrence Gonzales This is a book that weaves in true stories of survival and the brain mechanisms / neuroscience of what is going on in these people. I read this book in my training prep for the 2012 Death Race (that I finished....failed in 2011). This book inspired me to keep moving no matter what...that i'd literally die before I quit. I do recommend the audio version over the print version b/c the narrator has an incredible voice and the power of "story" is amplified by hearing the saga of survival from someone else. Never ever give up. Relentless forward motion in all situations. #bookchain
