Sometimes being sick allows you to see how important family really is. When your down on your ass nothing could comfort you like good ole family caring. Like when I was young whenever i got sick my grandmother would hook me up with the sprite and chicken noodle soup. Not sure if that actually works but it damn sure felt right at the time. When I had cancer i remember one of my sleepless nights I would literally think of every possible memory i had with each of my family members. There was a lot of sad comfort in that. It’s like getting sick forces you to lean on the ones most important in your life. You also find out who’s truly there for you.
