The absolute majority of people don’t understand the concepts of log-scale, linear vs nonlinear correlation, probability, random noise vs long-term trend. Conversely, a correlation coefficient of -1 indicates that they moved in opposite directions. 1) Interesting oscillations in the pre-pandemic time. One could basically hedge one against the other, while hedging against fiat inflation. 2) Since the end of lockdown time, the correlation has been almost monotonously increasing.
