With mempool full of mostly crap jpegs and 45sat/vbyte fee it seems that the nft grifters from etherium creeping over to bitcoin. Like cancer this mindset finds attack surface and tries to capture it. They eventually will get priced out but are also annoying and making transactions and channel openings needlessly more expensive. On the bright side it will push LN adoption. Lessons learned - we can't be conservative and cautious enough with new features on bitcoin L1. The brightest minds could not predict it to its full extend. Everything possible will be exploited as much as possible. Not saying we should ossify yet but the process of improvements will (and should) get even more lengthy and difficult. We have only one shot at this, better safe than sorry, especially in this case.

Not sure if DIDs are the best solution, but there should be consens that we need a way to revoke keys to avoid identity theft and reliance on centralized 3rd party services for reputation.
