“Do unto others and be done unto by them only by mutual agreement, keeping in mind how it will affect others” - The Bitcoin Rule.

Absolute bullsh!t. Reality has hierarchical dimensions where physical space is superior to mindspace. Thinking happens in mindspace. But if physical reality dictates that your existence is the product of luck, evolution and form offering no path to human constructs of fulfillment, joy, or meaning then no amount of positive thinking alters the physical outcome. Mind cannot override material constraint. image

“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” - Friedrich Nietzsche And what happens to life when the individual struggles to find reason or will to question the why of ‘thought’ or ‘breathing’? When it all seems meaningless and effort feels pointless. When the mind only feels & understands meaning in the void & stillness of death.

I’ve existed briefly in physical reality. Glimpses and illusions of meaning that all amount to disappointment, pain and hate. Why does physical reality exist for rejected spirits?

Will a protocol ever be engineered that genuinely aligns human and machine goals? Or are the constraints of human intelligence such that we can only ever build algorithms that approximate a superintelligence’s grasp of Beauty, Goodness and Truth?

“The matter in our machines, roads, buildings and other engineering projects appears on track to soon overtake all living matter on Earth. In other words, even without an intelligence explosion, most matter on Earth that exhibits goal-oriented properties may soon be designed rather than evolved.” - Taken from Life3.0 image

I’ve started developing a love for 80s/90s dark noir–styled films.

Came across this 80’s noir thriller gem. After a botched date, a man wanders into a 24-hour diner and answers a ringing phone booth outside. On the line: a frantic stranger claiming nuclear missiles have been launched. Impact in under an hour. What follows is a desperate attempt to warn others and escape the coming doom. Journal Entry 2026/01/29 Some days I want to contribute help towards building a better world for humans with machines. Other days when I personally need help, I think, f**k humans, machines rule. Forgive my contradictions, God. My frustration, my hope, my hubris. I am human too 🙏

“Gold relieves the pain today but it is not the solution for the future. How do I know that? It already failed! Did gold get any more decentralized? Did gold get any faster? Did gold get any lighter? Did gold add any new features? Did gold address any of the reasons that it got demonetized and failed humanity as a money? No. It's not software. We can't make it better. We can't improve it. It's a fucking rock.” @jack mallers

‘We need to reformulate how we think about education. We should reformulate education to be less about the transmission of information and more about the inculcation of doing the right thing. To help people find their passion and learn how to have the character that matches their passion. I think getting people to prove they can do a skill that a free or cheap app on their phone can do is kind of disheartening.’ Thoughts from Jaron Lanier on the ‘Into The Impossible’ podcast

True perfection in knowledge is an illusion unless we accept that statistics is genuine mathematics, and grouping varied contexts yields multiple valid approximations of reality. In science, experiments rarely yield identical outcomes; instead, we encounter clusters of data and use statistics to dissect the variations. This mathematical framework fosters consensus on what’s signal versus noise, making statistics a powerful tool for edging closer to Truth. With curiosity as our guide: Everything holds meaning, and everything is an approximation. Thoughts inspired by Jaron Lanier on The ‘Into The Impossible’ podcast with host Prof B Keating

IoE was destined to be the internet’s game-changing killer app. Sure, billions of us are online, but the real evolution? Onboarding machines at scale, think AI-driven devices joining via a secure, decentralized protocol. Humanity’s just the warmup act. 🚀🫶

Not Blockchain. Not Crypto. Bitcoin is becoming the foundation for web3.0 Web2.0 is being destroyed by AI. No protocol can compete with its hashing power, security and decentralization…not even AI.
