To me there’s always been a difference in philosophies between twitter and facebook (at least, until activists at twitter in Dorsey’s era took it over), twitter had retweet from the beginning, sharing was encouraged
Facebook has ‘share’ too, but it’s also invested in broadcasting things to the feed people never intended to
Also twitter was public from the start while Facebook is constantly accused of changing privacy settings

I messaged this to the damus account, they didn’t reply yet, so please, anyone, can you please explain how nostr.land differs from eden.nostr.land? If Eden is paid then how do I have it? I’ve only ever enabled the recommended ones
@Damus sorry to spam you but how does nostr.land differ from eden.nostr.land?
I’m just going to spend the summer depressed and sinking
I don’t even want to fix it
(I’ve been playing with Gemini) Google has all the technological tools in the world but they have to stop their ideological censorship nonsense
There are some real bad actors inside the company in a way that (might) goes beyond page and brin
I’m still yet to really understand paid relays or which are good ones to follow
Pretty much just stick to the defaults/recommended (by damus)
I’ve never enjoyed people criticizing social media as a concept but nostr is interesting in that it functionally isn’t, it’s at least, key based decentralized

Depressed as always
Can someone tell me what eden.nostr.land is and why i have it in my relay list and why it’s not in recommended relays?

“Misinformation” indeed (it’s really bad with Covid)
“Protecting the community” indeed
There has to be a way for people to criticize social media products in a way that goes beyond ideology where instead people talk about the actual quality of the product
From what I understand I’m connected to the default relays and the “recommended” ones
I have no particular desire to add more but it does make me wonder how far my posts actually reach
I think it’s really sad pirate bay (thanks in part to Sunde) became known as the “we kinda just stopped working on it” product rather than you know, the legally dubious raids
And seriously it’s the right idea that they had, a distributed tracker system
