We could have had a real, usable service I think the IDEA of Facebook is a good one, things like MySpace weren’t scalable But Zuckerberg got there first and the problem with this is that he’s fundamentally a sociopath It’s no wonder Facebook is broken and unusable and has been pissjng people off for years

I don’t hate “social media”. But there’s got to be a way to connect people you know in real life (past and present) in a semi privacy respecting way while allowing a chronological stream of posts MySpace was… what it was (I don’t think the page style translates well, the basic idea of facebook‘s design is a good one) I think the problem we have is zuck doesn’t care (if he ever did, there’s people arguing he stole it from people in the first place) and lies a lot
