Help us welcome him if you have a chance to stop in!
It's the Lord's Day! The Lord calls his people to come and worship and rest in him on his day.
Hymns for Morning Worship 7/28/2024:
241 - O God Beyond All Praising
103C - Come, My Soul, and Bless the Lord
248 - All Creatures of Our God and King
435 - Not What My Hands Have Done
The Lord calls us to worship him on his day, and this Lord's day we are happy to welcome Pastor Todd Smith to fill our pulpit.
Hear the call to worship, from Psalm 134
"Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
who stand by night in the house of the LORD!
Lift up your hands to the holy place
and bless the LORD!
"May the LORD bless you from Zion,
he who made heaven and earth!"
#BiblestrIt is the Lord's Day! We hope you all enjoy this day of worship of our glorious God and sweet fellowship with his people!
Today's call to worship:
Psalm 96:1-3
Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
It is the Lord's Day! We hope you all are enjoying this day of rest and worship of the Triune God!
We do not "invite Jesus" into his own house. It is our Lord who calls us to worship him on his day. Hear his call to worship:
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

#BiblestrThe Reformed Christian's answer to the question, "What is the purpose of life?":
Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.
The Lord has called His people to worship on His day. Here is his call to worship from Psalm 98.
Psalm 98:1-9 ESV
[1] Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. [2] The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. [3] He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. [4] Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! [5] Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! [6] With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord! [7] Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! [8] Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together [9] before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

God's Law commands us to neither steal from or lie to our neighbor.
Why, then, should God's people tolerate being forced to use a money that both lies and steals from all who use it, except those with the exclusive privilege of printing it for free?
This is why we #Bitcoin
Love this perspective on the problem of evil from the late R.C. Sproul.

#BiblestrThis past Lord's Day, our pulpit was filled by elder Kris, who continued his series of exhortations through Colossians in the morning, and Acts in the evening.
