🎯🚀 The possibilities that lie in the future are infinite. When I say 'It is our duty to remain optimists,' this includes not only the openness of the future but also that which all of us contribute to it by everything we do: we are all responsible for what the future holds in store. Thus it is our duty, not to prophesy evil but, rather, to fight for a better world. Karl Popper, The Myth of the Framework (1994)
"Normally and generally men are judged by their ability to produce—except in war, when they are ranked according to their ability to destroy." The Lessons of History by Will Durant and Ariel Durant

If you're an institutional investor and you've got cash this is an amazing environment to buy stakes in high quality start-ups. And on top, you can take out existing investors starving for cash at rock-bottom valuations. Assuming you didn't follow the blitz-scaling herd in the past few years and are stuck with a portfolio of cash incinerators.
Those advocating the end of fossil fuels and nuclear energy might want to read up on humanity’s previous regressions into statist society: "The Dark Ages were a massive experiment in the back-to-the-land hippy lifestyle (without the trust fund): you ground your own corn, sheared your own sheep, cured your own leather and cut your own wood. Any pathetic surplus you generated was confiscated to support a monk, or maybe you could occasionally sell something to buy a metal tool off a part-time blacksmith. Otherwise, subsistence replaced specialisation." (Matt Ridley, The Rational Optimist)
