#wabisabi I cannot stop gravity. Gravity is a constant and foundational aspect of our life on earth. I can overcome it briefly. I can jump. Or I can step on an airplane and take a flight to another city. But ultimately, gravity pulls me back down to the ground. In fact, my entire life is at least in part a struggle against gravity, because at the end it will pull me back INTO the ground. But here's the question I i'm fidgeting through right now. Is the beauty of life found in the struggle to rise up? To put one stone atop another? To build? To fly? Or... is life's beauty found in the peaceful surrender to what cannot be overcome? In finding grace within the pull? I know the answer is both of those things. But my human heart is still learning how to balance. To hold hands with two worlds. To rise and fall. And rise again. Selah.

Tying identity to onchain activity is problematic in more ways than one.

It has been somewhat controversial here with many people saying it's better to have the feature than not to have. This is like handing a loaded gun to users who don't know anything about guns. I would just say this, if you choose to use the address linked to your nostr identity, you would do yourself a favor to be extremely careful about what you post when it comes to details about your physical location. Having a rich list of nostr addresses that you can feed to AI that can then scan their accounts, look at pictures that they took with their phone, and possibly determine their approximate location. Well, need I say more? Finally, you don't have to be a privacy guru to realize why this could be dangerous. But unless you are, you don't really understand how much information this could possibly reveal, not only about you, but about your friends and acquaintances. Ah well...

The thought that the US is doing these things entirely out of stupidity is probably the prevailing thought, and certainly the message in all the various Lego movies, etc. Now, that could be possible, but at the same time, it's probably the less likely one. People who like Trump (still somehow) are losing trust in him because he COMPLETELY reversed on "no war". People who hate him make the mistake in thinking that he (and, more importantly, this administration) is just an idiot and take things at face value. I would suggest what's happening right now has been a plan for a very long time and I would bet $100 that it hasn't just been Trump's posse doing the planning. The military objectives which have been said over and over: destroy navy, deplete rockets, destroy nuclear program, destroy leadership... These have been fairly well executed, but these are not the only objectives during this action. Not even the main ones. I have asked before why is Scott Bessent talking so much? There is something much bigger in play here. One theory could be that the U.S. is basically choking off the energy supply to the world establishing viable energy supplies in the western hemisphere. And then there's the NATO angle. The US has been projecting power on behalf of NATO for the better part of 100 years. It seems to me this administration is setting up the stage to actually have our old allies ask us to leave and then I wouldn't be surprised if we did exactly that. And the conflict is much more pronounced for the eastern hemisphere than the one the U.S. is in. Sadly, this may also not be an accident. Cuba, Greenland, areas in Central and South America, Canada, all this bluster. Why? Well, it fits into this thought. This is our hemisphere. This is our empire. Why would we want energy/Chem/fertilizer to be cut off? Perhaps to force populations into the corner where they have no choice but to take things like digital ID so they can then have universal Basic Income and eat again. All issued in a digital dollar straight to your phone, et cetera, et cetera. When an enormous swath of the people can't feed themselves anymore, they're going to line up to get the things that they're rightly fearful of currently. I believe it's possible that while the often ridiculous President of the United States is broadcasting constant confusion and chaos, the actual plan that has been in the works for quite some time is rolling along just as they would wish. I don't think it's likely that this is just one big blunder. I do think it's likely it's one of the most risky gambits that has been played in probably centuries. Most nations outside of China, at least, are not positioning themselves to avoid the inevitable collapse. They're positioning themselves to survive and profit from it. At least the smart ones would be. But I don't know who's who.
