I wonder why the mempool is not filling up? Did so few people own a coldcard?

With all whats going on. This is a real mess. I own over one dozen hardware wallets. I got my favorites, which is air gapped. But i myself knew about the RNG problem in general. You have to use physical randomness to generate your words. Most hardware wallet sellers solved it with some kind of combination of data or even white noise sensors. Which sounds promising. But did i check the software/firmware if the process got disabled, no i did not. The only way that solves this is to roll the dice in the future. I try to figure out 8 face dices of which you only need 4 to roll one word, which you can look up in the words table. Then calculate the twelve or 24th word. So you are not dependent on a software RNG at all. I need to roll the dice too because i cant trust any software or silicon to generate a random seed.

So i also like to give my 2 sats to the conversation regarding entropy bugs. Every bitcoin onchain wallet software and all of its versions can still have a bug. The problem with random numbers is, you cant prove the entropy of a seedphrase after you generated it. Coldcard firmware was 5 years old and 1 year old AI models could have found this bug. So the real question is, was your seed phrase generation done with enough entropie? You only know for sure when you roll the dice.

Wow i am second semester in agentic AI usage. Now i am building a setup for running local models processed by my unit itself. No abo needed. Just in case i would have to pay per token in the future.

What do you think? For a nostr signer image which would be air gapped, does it make sense to save the key after you entered the 12 words? Sure you would not do it with sats but if its your nsec the trade of is different. Just as an option. #asknostr

People will learn cryptographic signing with Nostr first in the future and then do Sats transactions on Bitcoin later. Like this you cant loose to much Sats as a newbie.
