We're reaching an era in infra ops where the giant corporation-owned tooling is closing its doors, and more open 2nd systems are being built like Kargo (from Argo creators), OpenTF (from Terraform users), and JetPorch (from Ansible creator). Wild time to be nimble.

Chrome is hot garbage. A long time ago it was a snappy rebel browser that took the Internet by storm. Today it's worse than IE ever was, tracking your browsing habits and sharing them with advertisers even if you take efforts to protect your privacy. It's all opt-out too.

I've spent far too much time this week working with ATLAS, OpenBLAS, and Blis, and still don't have a strong opinion about any one of them lol Except that I still hate algebra

I've re-tested the Ampere Altra Max with Cinebench 2024 after applying a Windows 11 Enterprise license (thanks to @npub15wsj...njgm!) and rebooting... And still only getting 64 cores on Windows on Arm. image

Maxon released Cinebench 2024 yesterday, with support for arm64 on Windows and macOS. Here's the result for the Ampere Altra Max 96-core CPU @ 2.8 GHz โ€” with only 64 cores being utilized, due to some silly limitation on Windows 11 Pro insider builds! Beats the M1 Ultra, wonder how it would do against M2 Ultra! image
