I would argue that nostr-irc is the fastest client for new events. Raw websocket connection in a running console with no image parsing, no link previews, some LND invoice regex, and other tricks provide a stream of steady text.
I’m currently working on fixing things to work with all relays. Certain relays have a different stack and responses that I need to figure out next. Relays like nos.lol and relay.damus.io fly.

Interest rates are one of those peculiar things where you can love them when you’re benefitting, or hate them when paying it to another. The love and hate scales proportionally with interest rate.
I see so many good posts and content I want to zap⚡, but they don’t have lightning addresses listed.
What’s stopping you from using lightning? How can I help?
OPSEC Tip: I have a higher degree of confidence you are running an Umbrel node based off a lot of your relay configs. While the chances are low, this could set you up as a target.
Did you know that private key “0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001” will log you into #[0]?. Don’t play games with your private keys and they won’t play games with you. #NostrTipOfTheDay

I’m seeing a lot of people complain about spam and emojis and wanting more relay filtering. While this is worthwhile, the clients can handle this too. I added things like event filtering, pubkey filtering, remove emojis (turned off for now), remove new lines, and some other changes to the way events are displayed for that pure text experience. Don’t wait for the relays as you and others can do all of this today already.
I love looking at blocks fill up online (especially most recent), but I need to buckle down and finally buy a Blockclock. I have some ESP-32 and ePaper knock offs I created, but each time I see the real deal I’m in awe of the beauty of it.
Who will be the first to capture the magic word?

Nostr client creators - what’s the best and most efficient way to broadcast a message to multiple relays?
#1 - I could post the event to a connected relay and then call a broadcast function to the users relay list, but this requires two calls and for a kind 1 event to be accepted successfully first.
#2 - I could iterate though a list of relays sending the same signed event to each in a new websocket connection. I believe clients would not parse these as new kind 1 posts then, but simply write them to their own databases.
#3 - Just use a gossip relay, ya dummy
#4 - Something else I’m not thinking of
