Russian forces have begun using Iranian-made Misagh-2 man-portable surface-to-air missile systems to intercept Ukrainian unmanned aircraft, based on Ukrainian military reporting and imagery showing the systems in use.
It is possible that Russia is using the Iranian systems because they are cheaper, or because of shortages of similar air-defense systems in Russia.
Misagh-2 uses a passive infrared seeker and is designed as a fire-and-forget weapon. Once launched, the missile can track the target's infrared signature without further guidance from the operator, allowing the operators to quickly leave their position.

🇮🇱🇵🇸 – An IAF airstrike targeted the top Hamas leader in Gaza, Ali al-Amoudi, on the early hours of Saturday. The strike occurred in Gaza City's Rimal neighborhood.
The IDF claims he was the right hand man of late Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, who al-Amoudi succeeded, and accused him of being involved in the planning of the October 7 attack.
The IDF has not yet confirmed if the attack was succesful. Five people, included four women, were killed in the strike. Two of those women were buried today after a ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius.
