With an MBA from Yale and a rich, 20-year journey of homeschooling four incredible children, my career path took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn into the heart of the Bitcoin universe. It was through my husband's innovative game, HODL UP, that I first stepped into the Bitcoin space, sparking a curiosity that quickly turned into a passionate pursuit. Traveling and engaging with diverse communities unveiled a pressing need: to bring Bitcoin knowledge to more women, to make it accessible, relatable, and empowering. This realization was the birthplace of the Orange Hatter Podcast. Through this platform, I share the untold stories of everyday women—those you meet at the grocery store or live next door. These narratives highlight how Bitcoin provides solutions to real-life problems, embodying the idea that if Bitcoin can be useful to one woman, it could be beneficial to all. My mission is simple yet profound: to demystify Bitcoin for women, showing its practicality and potential to tra

🎉 Celebrating a Big Moment in Ghana! 🎉 This morning, I had the honor of speaking to the first women’s Bitcoin cohort graduates with Bitfiasi Initiative. Thank you, Gideon Kombian and Lydia Sena Ami Kudowor, for inviting me to this celebration! To encourage the graduates, I reflected on my journey, full of unexpected turns, that brought me to where I am today, filled with joy and purpose. Here are some of the pivotal life moments I shared with these amazing women: 👉 Choosing to stay home with my baby (instead of pursuing my career) taught me to follow my heart, not just my head. 👉 Choosing to homeschool for 20 years (instead of sending my kids to school) gave me valuable experience in teaching. 👉 Choosing to go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole (instead of accepting the norm) helped me understand how money really works. 👉 Choosing to devote full time to teaching women about money (instead of getting a "job") gave me the confidence to speak and celebrate the female voice. To the graduates, I said: 💡 “Society may push you to follow the ‘normal’ path, but you have the power to choose what’s right for you. Trust your instincts and values.” Here’s my advice: ✨ Keep an open mind. Bitcoin is just one tool you’ll use in life. ✨ Don’t be afraid to change your path. The unexpected can lead to your greatest growth. I never imagined I’d be here, speaking to such incredible women in Ghana. But trusting my instincts and embracing change brought me to this amazing moment. To the graduates: Congratulations! This is just the beginning. Trust yourself, embrace new opportunities, and believe in your future. 🌟 Here’s to all the great things ahead! 🎓✨ #BitcoinEducation #WomenEmpowerment #LifeLessons #Graduation #FinancialLiteracy image

"If you educate a man, you educate one person. If you educate a woman, you educate a family—and a whole nation."- Dr. James Emman Kwegyir-Aggrey 💡 Women have always been the backbone of families, but when they are financially educated, their impact goes far beyond their households. A financially literate woman can make better decisions for her family, invest in her children's future, and create opportunities that strengthen her entire community. Money literacy is not just about numbers—it’s about power, freedom, and security. It’s about giving women the confidence to take control of their financial lives, make smarter choices, and pass down the knowledge to the next generation. Imagine a world where every woman understands money—how it works, how to save it, and how to grow it. With this knowledge, women can take control of their finances, plan for the future, and make informed decisions that benefit not just themselves but everyone around them. When women are equipped with money literacy, they gain the tools to create security, opportunities, and lasting change for their families and communities. Let’s recognize the critical role women play in shaping the future and commit to making financial education accessible to all. #WomenEmpowerment #FinancialLiteracy #GenerationalChange #BuildingBrighterFutures

**Curiosity is How We Learn Best** Kids are amazing learners, but sometimes, we forget to trust their curiosity. In our busy world, we often rush to make things quick and easy. We want them to know all the answers right away instead of giving them time to wonder and explore. But what if we let kids *not know* for a little while? What if we let them start projects they don’t finish or ask questions that don’t have answers yet? 💡 That’s how curiosity grows. The book "When You Wonder, You’re Learning" by Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski talks about how learning happens when we’re curious. When we notice something we don’t understand, it makes us want to learn more. But once we feel like we know everything, that curiosity can go away. So, how does this help when teaching kids about money or Bitcoin? There’s something called the **information gap**. This means kids need to know a little bit about something before they can become interested in it. If we teach money ideas in a way that connects to what kids already know, it helps them stay curious and want to learn more. Fred Rogers (you know, Mister Rogers!) said kids learn best when new ideas feel familiar but also a little mysterious. Mystery makes learning fun! When we teach kids about money or Bitcoin, we should balance what they already know with new ideas that make them wonder. It’s okay if they don’t get it all right away. Their curiosity will help them figure it out over time. #moneyliteracy image

🌟 What Would a World with Unmanipulable Money Look Like?*🌟 This week in the Orange Hatter Reading Club, we dove into Chapter 13 of @Seb Bunney The Hidden Cost of Money and had one of our most thought-provoking discussions yet. We explored what society could look like with a money system that’s non-dilutable and non-manipulable. Imagine this: - People could save confidently, without worrying about their money losing value over time. - Risky investments wouldn’t feel like a *requirement* to keep up with inflation. - Businesses would need to run more responsibly, knowing there are no government bailouts waiting in the wings. - Creative destruction could flourish, allowing outdated businesses to step aside for fresh innovation. - And perhaps most importantly—parents could spend more time with their kids instead of working tirelessly to stay ahead of inflation. Of course, we couldn’t talk about this without diving into the big question: *What does Bitcoin’s future look like now that big players are entering the space?* Let’s just say, the debate was lively and rigorous! We didn’t all agree, but that’s what makes our discussions so valuable—every viewpoint was heard and respected. Next week marks the final meeting of this reading session, and we’re thrilled to welcome **Seb Bunney** himself for a meet-and-greet with our members! After weeks of unpacking his book, celebrating its conclusion with the author will be a special treat. If you’ve been thinking about joining Orange Hatter, this is your moment! To truly change the world, we must start by reaching the children. They are not only the future leaders but also the future followers. And to prepare them for both roles, we must focus on two essential elements: building a strong character and instilling a deep understanding of money and finance. After all, our financial system touches every aspect of life. But how do we achieve this? First, we help children develop intrinsic self-confidence—something that can only come from kindness and compassion toward others. This is how humans are wired; true self-worth is built through genuine acts of goodwill, not from external rewards like stickers or prizes. The joy that comes from helping others strengthens a child’s inner resilience and self-esteem, creating a foundation that no outside force can shake. Next, we teach them how the world of money works. With a grounded sense of self and a clear understanding of financial realities, they’ll grow up to make informed choices rather than being swayed by propaganda or influenced by superficial narratives. While some believe that Bitcoin alone can change the world, I disagree. This world wasn’t built with money—it was built by the hearts and minds of human beings. To truly create a fairer, more empowered future, we must first fortify the heart with inner strength and then enrich the mind with relevant knowledge and understanding. Only then will we see the change we all want: a world where empowered individuals lead with wisdom and integrity. Check out super-kay.com for resources. #moneyliteracy image

Highlights from the Orange Hatter Reading Club this week studying The Hidden Cost of Money by @Seb Bunney. Last meeting was powerful, and I can’t stop thinking about our conversations. Imagine learning the truth about things we’ve trusted for years—like the food pyramid our parents believed in, only to find out it wasn’t actually healthy. It’s tough to see them trying to unlearn what they thought was right, especially when they’re now facing health issues from a lifetime of poor eating and relying on prescription drugs. It’s the same with money. We tackled a big question: *Can Bitcoin really fix the world?* Some of us think it could be a game-changer for everything—health, education, freedom—while others see it as just a tool that big players might still control. With central banks, big institutions and nation-states involved, will Bitcoin still really be “the people’s money”? We even wondered if, in the end, Bitcoin will help close the wealth gap or if those in power will just own most of it. We didn’t all agree, but it was refreshing to share different ideas without worrying about “polite” correctness. One topic hit close to home—*how we’re raising kids today.* Will they have the strength of character necessary to think on their own, or are we raising a generation of followers? This is why I believe so much in teaching kids about money *and* building their character. It’s more than just “saving money”—it’s about raising kids who think for themselves and question things, like whether inflation has to be part of life or if banks really hold all the power. And the IMF discussion? Wow. It shocked us all to learn just how much wealth has been taken from developing countries in the name of “help.” The truth hit hard—these countries end up worse off, while powerful groups profit from their debt. And then there’s the BIS…an organization few people even know about, yet it controls so much of the world’s money. Learning this opened our eyes to just how much happens that we don’t even see. If any of this sparks something in you, come join us! You don’t need to be an expert or read every page—we’re here to learn, support, and challenge each other. DM me if you want to join our private Telegram group, where we keep each other updated! Or check out www.orangehatter.com/reading-club for general info. 💬📚 Honestly, reading alone isn’t the same as diving deep with friends. So come experience it with us—you’re invited! #moneyliteracy #orangehatter

On Monday night, I returned to the Orange Hatter Reading Club meeting after a brief hiatus due to family emergencies. Even though I had kept up with our current book, “The Hidden Cost of Money” by @Seb Bunney diligently highlighting and making notes, I was amazed at how much more I gained from our group discussion. The power of verbal exchange, debating different viewpoints, and relating the material to current events and personal experiences cannot be overstated. It truly deepened my understanding and absorption of the book’s content in ways I hadn’t anticipated. To all the women out there eager to enhance their financial knowledge: • Engage in meaningful discussions • Share diverse perspectives • Connect theory to real-life situations • Build a supportive community of like-minded individuals Don’t miss out on this opportunity to your understanding of money. Join the Orange Hatter Reading Club! Comment below or DM me for more information on how to get involved. I know many American families who don’t have insurance. When their kids get sick or hurt, their first question isn’t, “Where can I go to get the best care for my baby?” It’s, “How am I going to afford care for my baby?” Meanwhile, those close to the money printer keep promising all kinds of “free” stuff to other people. Can you blame these parents for being angry? At the Orange Hatter reading club, we’re diving into The Hidden Cost of Money by @Seb Bunney to unpack how our monetary system got here and what we might actually do about it. If you’re curious and want to join the conversation with other like-minded people, check out www.orangehatter.com/reading-club Our next meetup is Monday—hope to see you there! Come even if you haven't read the chapter or the first half of the book. image
