Why is suffering so inherent to our nature? It's designed to bring us to the end of ourselves. It's the beginning of spiritual awakening. It's a blessing in disguise.

Scripture is so unbelievable that we could only possibly believe it through faith. #ToChristAlone
Seeking community and connection online feels like eating wonder bread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
How low can we go
Rom 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Notice the progression. Our suffering leads us to come to the end of ourselves and turn towards God for our hope. Hope/faith is able to take us beyond the reason of our own minds. But it only does this through turning to God. Without this, suffering has no purpose and leaves us in the confines of our own limited capacity.
Blessings. #ToChristAlone
