Is anyone building a decentralized, FOSS, on/off ramp for bitcoin using Nostr architecture?

Not sure how to get off “read only” setting. Is there a private key input somewhere that I just can’t find?
Bedford was a pleasant surprise. A smaller event in a small town is always preferable to just another large conference where you only briefly see people and then never again.
In Bedford everything is walkable. You congregate around certain pubs and get to have longer conversations with the people you meet. And I had a number of good conversions with everyday Brit Bitcoiners to some of the big names in the space.
It’s a good town for walks and exploring. The river and rowing is quaint and calm.
Mostly, I loved the one day event followed by a day to just hang out and watch a soccer game. These events are best spent in conversation, and while it’s important to have sessions of great content, I feel like that gives us the excuse to be there but the real meat is in the conversations we have and the connections we make.
Good job @Peter McCormack and @Danny Knowles - Cheatcode 2024 was fantastic.

The pups eyes are open now and they’re getting more active. Sunning after a bath yesterday.

Off to London, then to Bedford. I do enjoy the UK.
Biomass site setup this week.

A bin of puppies. So many puppies.

Happy to have the Africa Bitcoin Mining Summit happening in Ethiopia this year.
Should be amazing, with all the mining going on there now.

Africa Bitcoin Mining Summit – Lusaka, September 25-26, 2025

When we went to sleep there were 11 puppies. We woke up and there were 14!
9 girls, 5 boys
(Rhodesian Ridgebacks)

11 ridgeback puppies!
7 female, 4 male.
Been a long 5 hours for their mom.

Sunrise. A break with the family.

Madeira was great. Always good to reconnect in-person.
Now back to work, the real fun stuff!

Off to Madeira.
Not an easy place to get to from Kenya.
Have a new site in the Kenyan highlands doing testing of turbines next week. 150kW.
A good couple days in Cape Town with a bunch of African Bitcoiners.

Loving being in Nashville for the Energy and Mining Summit at Bitcoin Park. High signal and density.
Off to Nashville this week.
While going through the archive I was reminded of coming across some pretty cool people in OSS and Freedom Tech space. Found a @rabble pic from the early days of Twitter, Ushahidi, etc. when he visited us in Kenya and South Africa (2007 and 2008).

Happy holidays from our family holiday place.

Cool demo by @UNCLE ROCKSTAR and Bernard Parah (Bitnob) of a point of sale system that prints #bitcoin vouchers and activates/uses cards at the Africa Bitcoin Conference.
