Honestly not sure I'm ever going to build another consumer parts-based workstation ever again. It's always been fun building custom PCs, but price vs stability has gotten so bad imo. For someone that relies on a machine to work 7/365 I've never gotten that from consumer parts. I'll probably still build custom rigs for other purposes, but I think I need to leave my main workstation alone.

Offline is going to be a symbol of the "rich". Those who can afford to be off devices. So many jobs (even blue collar) require interacting with smart phones for the day job. Interacting with banking, ordering food, paying for stuff. Having to pay inflation prices for experiences, travel, etc. View quoted note →
