Happy 1. year #Ordinals anniversary
Did you know that with 2048 words to choose from and a 12-word seed length, the number of unique combinations is 2048^12, which is approximately 5.4 * 10^39 combinations?
But for a 24-word seed, that number jumps to a staggering 2048^24 combinations, which is about 2.8147498 * 10^77 unique combinations!
The 2048^24 number is so mind-bogglingly huge that it's difficult to make a physical comparison, but let's try:
Imagine a beach filled with grains of sand. Now, for the 12-word seed, you would need billions upon billions of Earths filled with beaches to represent each unique combination. For the 24-word seed, think of taking that beach-filled Earth, making an entire galaxy out of those Earths, and then creating billions of such galaxies! Even then, you would still fall short of representing the number of unique combinations possible with a 24-word seed.

**The power of mnemonic seed phrases**
Our mnemonic seed phrase can consisting of 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24 words.
For example, a 12-word seed phrase has 128 bits of entropy, which is considered the minimum level of security for Bitcoin and also for most Shitcoins. However, a 24-word seed phrase has 256 bits of entropy, which is much more secure.
Entropy refers to the measure of randomness or unpredictability in a cryptographic key or seed phrase. The higher the entropy, the more difficult it is for an attacker to guess or brute-force the key or seed phrase.
For a real-world example, let's say you're using a 128-bit encryption key. This means that there are 2^128 possible combinations for the key, making it extremely difficult for an attacker to crack. However, if you were to use a 256-bit encryption key, there would be 2^256 possible combinations, making it exponentially more secure than the 128-bit key."
2^256 is an extremely large number, and it's difficult to relate it to the physical world. One analogy that can help give a sense of the scale of this number is to compare it to the number of atoms in the observable universe.
It's estimated that there are between 10^78 to 10^82 atoms in the observable universe. This is a very large number, but it's still many orders of magnitude smaller than 2^256. In fact, 2^256 is approximately 10^77 times larger than the highest estimate for the number of atoms in the observable universe.
Your crypto wallet secured with a 256-bit encryption key is virtually impossible to crack or guess. To put it into perspective once again, if every person on Earth owned a billion wallets with 256-bit keys, and each wallet contained a billion different universes, the chances of guessing the key to just one of those wallets would still be astronomically small. With such a high level of security, you can have peace of mind knowing that your digital assets are safe and secure.

**A fun fact about the BIP39**
*(a words in your seed phrase)*
the 2048 words wordlist used in #BIP39 was specifically designed to be easy to remember and to minimize the risk of errors when transcribing or typing in a mnemonic seed phrase. The words were chosen to be easily distinguishable from one another, with no words having the same first four letters, and no two words differing by only one letter. Additionally, the words were carefully selected to be easily translatable into many different languages.
