What are you missing in our shop?

Together with @Jeroen ✅ we recently installed a hydro addition to our bitcoin tulip project. Currently over 30 million tulip bulbs are being dried partially with bitcoin mining heat. This reduces the use of natural gas for drying.

After doing the book distribution for the Netherlands and Belgium for a couple years we recently said goodbye to it. The book distribution is now happening through the largest distributor of the country giving every bookshop and online bookshop direct access to great books like this. We decided to reduce our stock levels in Dutch books significantly because the majority of orders are actually broad EU. Our direct booksales were always originals in English. Vandaag is het exact 1.3/4 jaar geleden dat Paul en Marina starten met hun @Bitcoin School podcast. Eerlijke bitcoin educatie in het Nederlands, zonder shitcoin afleiding was haast niet vindbaar. De bitcoin community was sceptisch: “na een jaar gaan ze shitcoins shillen” “ze stoppen binnenkort wel, want bitcoin only is trekken aan een dood paard” en nog vele andere negatieve demotiverende passages. Nadat ze een jaar iedere week steevast een kwalitatief hoogwaardige bitcoinles hadden opgenomen troffen we elkaar tijden @Adopting Bitcoin Arnhem. Vanaf dat moment starte onze samenwerking. We hebben in de afgelopen 3/4 jaar honderden mensen mogen helpen op hun bitcoin reis. Doordat wij beginners doorverwijzen naar bitcoinschool en zij een kortingscode shillen, blijven mensen gegarandeerd bitcoin only. Voor degene die tot hier heeft gelezen en die 1 3/4 raar vindt. It’s all so tiresome. Customs opens sealed signing device packages. People return steel plates without wanting to give a reason, no way we know how to improve to not have such a return in the future. Shipper loses a package. Customs refuses to let Bitaxes through. Shipper sends us major bill, while we have customs permits. We reject the bill and get confirmation that there is a problem in the customs IT system. Now we receive a bill from a bailiff because shipper pushed out old statements to a bailiff that were already closed. Shipper responds that it’s blocked again but bailiff removes shipper from all correspondence and pushes with even more draconian measures and cost. Another great day costing us >€1k… sigh There just might be a point that helping out people to get further into bitcoin just becomes too costly. With our high stock levels and direct shipment, we have lost many bitcoin on the way. But we are happy to supply thousands and thousands of plebs throughout Europe with freedom. So for now we persist. All this bullshit keeps us in the outer libertarian corner. Most of these problems are here because of bureaucracy.

Great explanation of bitcoin “mining”. We were asked many times to explain, the issue in general is that there’s not sufficient time for the media to show a proper explanation. Now where would you expect mining to happen? We’re missing the Middle East, Russia etc on this chart. It will be where there is excess cheap energy. Where do you mine in Europe? Where you’re most subsidized. As industry is leaving, massive subsidies are happening for large industry. Just plug in there. Find the locations where it makes sense. The more centrally planned the next years become, the more opportunity to be found. When we attached this flyer with every order we ship daily, would that increase sales/nostr? For ease of use we recreated a primal QR. Is this the best way or should we go for a different QR code? We're not very good at graphical design please let us know if you have any ideas or improvements before we sent this to our local printer. It’s been almost 2 years since we put serious efforts into showing bitcoin to 10.000+ people on our local fair. General reactions we’ll never forget: “You’re killing the planet” “We only have debt, we can’t buy bitcoin. Later that person came back with a lot of useless stuff from the fair…” “Why are you trying to scam people” But also: “Can you explain more about what you do” “Can I buy some bitcoin” “What are these devices doing” And a lot of kids, interested in 3D printed shopping cart bitcoin coins. Also hammering names in seedmint circles was well received. And people bought bitcoin flowers, not for bitcoin, but for old fashioned cash with a 100 year old cash register.

We’ve worked this weekend to optimize our website further. Made a lot of visuals smaller for faster loading times. We’ve removed a significant amount of books. We’ll stop selling and distributing the Dutch translated books for @KonsensusN. We’ve done this for quite a few years and over the past year basically shipped books every day. Now the demand for Dutch translated books has skyrocketed, centraal boekhuis, the Dutch central location for bookshops both online and offline are listing the books. With this major achievement of bitcoin books becoming mainstream and accessible everywhere, we’ve reached our goal of easy access to bitcoin education without grift. Before we took over the distribution, bitcoin books would come with shitcoin advertisement. Something we could not accept and we wanted to make sure people would not be scammed into shitcoins buying a bitcoin book. We’ve decided to marginalize our offering further, as managing over 2500 products in stock on a small attic had its logistical challenges. The products that are in high demand will always be available in high stock quantities, as people are used to. As we deliver directly from stock we’ve been the fastest kid on the block with delivering bitcoin products, taking your privacy into account.
