We are not tormented for no reason. We are tormented so we would pay attention to the Call. We are tormented so that we would respond to the Cry of Battle. The Battle for our lives, for God; the Spirit of Humanity.

Don’t think that there will ever come a time when you stop making mistakes. That there will be a time when you are so good and wise and virtuous that you can do no harm; and do no wrong. Accept your fate as a flawed mortal being, accept your mistakes — no, OWN your mistakes, but don’t let them own you. Learn from them without dwelling on them — because they are like quicksand — dwell on them and you will sink in, they will consume you; and soon you will be enveloped by them in such a way that you will only be surrounded by THEM: your mistakes, your selfishness, your foolishness, your hubris, your sins. And if all you have is that, then, well — I would say that’s pretty damn close to Hell. However, if you completely ignore all that, then that’s like a small fire in your house that you’re not doing anything about. Continue paying no attention and soon, the things you ignored will burn your whole house down. The Fire is a powerful friend, but a terrible enemy.

I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, that having a homestead, 5+ kids and neighbors you know by name — which used to be the standard for the majority of people in the Western world — has become a mere dream, nothing short of an Utopia, for people my age and younger. What’s especially sad is that people don’t even seem to want to recognize that being the case and keep telling themselves we live in a “developed” society. Or, if they do dare to recognize the fact, they tend to blame “late-stage capitalism” (which is not capitalism — it’s communism; or — an utterly and irredeemably crony capitalism at best) for the situation. Wake up, Neo. Look into the abyss. It’s painful. But there is truth in there.

“Love is the answer. Not reason, not logic, but Love. Love for yourself, love for others, and love for being itself. True, unconditional Love. If you love someone unconditionally you accept them as they are; if you love the underlying ground of being unconditionally, you accept things as they are—including yourself. Loving fully implies forgiving fully, and that’s the hardest thing of them all. Forgiving others. Forgiving God. Forgiving yourself.” ― @Gigi

⚡️ FOR SALE: 2012 Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 Petrol (nicknamed Miss Quixotic) 📍 Location: Kerikeri, Northland, New Zealand 💰 Price: $9,900 NZD (when paid in fiat) OR $9000 NZD (when paid in #Bitcoin) Even though I call her Miss Quixotic, the XF is not really THAT impractical or an unrealistic car. It's a decent sized saloon, comfortable (and powerful enough) to drive and not super expensive to buy or maintain - IMO it's one of those cars that sits nicely in the middle of the line where on the one end there are super boring, soulless boxes on wheels and on the other side are truly insane, expensive and impractical cars. The XF is a car that's "normal" enough to be your everyday driver, but at the same time, unique and beautiful enough to be considered a piece of art. I could tell you stories and stories about the bad luck I’ve had. But I’m not going to do that. Because who am I to judge what’s “bad” luck? Maybe “bad luck” is what saved me from “absolutely fucking horrendous luck.” Also, “bad luck” is often simply a consequence of bad decisions. Or, it is really “normal luck,” but seems “bad” in contrast to one’s high hopes, goals and expectations. In the end, it’s just “luck.” It is what it is. Since life is suffering, the “luck” often morphs into a “suck.” Deal with it.
