1. Touch grass 2. Get Sun 3. B R E A T H E Today is a New Moon and 7 planets are aligning. I'm not that hugely into astrology, but for me personally, the last day or two have felt quite strange & quite intense. As if something significant is happening. What about you guys, how are you holding up? How are you feeling, are you aligned within? image #nature #tunestr #footstr #grounding

7 years ago today I released the track "100%" (Estonian hip hop) It talks about crossing the fine line between a healthy, easy-going "not giving a fuck" attitude and deep, dark nihilism as the verse starts out with the lines: "Nihlistic fantasy, 100% apathy" Also available on @Wavlake: Spotify: And other major streaming platforms. The instrumental is featured on my instrumental hip hop album "Rest In Beats John Dope": #tunestr

“It was always about you...” ― Alan Watts “...until it wasn't.” ― Kontext I came across this short video on nostr some time ago and while I agree with the core idea that Watts is trying to convey, I felt like it was missing a huge part of what this little thing called life is all about. So if you'll allow me to provide some Kontext... Disclaimer: I have learned a lot from Alan Watts and I do have a lot of respect for his work (even though, admittedly, I’ve never read any of his books). And I also don’t know where this clip is from, so perhaps in the rest of this speech he talks about the other side of the coin, the point that I’m making. But taken out of context, I found this explanation to be very one-sided. And another thing is this: HAPPINESS SHOULD NOT BE THE GOAL. Happiness is merely a byproduct of a life well-lived. Honesty & truth should be the goals (you can also call them justice, love, God). IF truth is NOT the absolute base layer of your values, then pure pursuit of happiness is going to get you to where we are today: to narcissism (which in and of itself leads to fascism/authoritarianism), rampant consumerism, short-term time preference, all sorts of addictions from sugar to alcohol to opioids to porn to social media, etc. In other words, if truth is not your main focus then you are bound to be led or to lead yourself deeper into the illusion, the Maya, the Matrix. But I’ll leave that topic for another post. Much love, Kontext (originally published as an article in June 2024)

Being an artist, a real artist, is not so much about being an entertainer than it is about being a messenger. A conduit, or a relay, if you will.

META: Advancing and promoting copyright-free media has been something close to my heart for a long time; even before I understood Bitcoin I was releasing my self-made rap tracks under Creative Commons licenses. Studying Bitcoin and the ideas of cypherpunks, libertarians and Austrian economics have only solidified my view that copyright laws are fundamentally incompatible with the future towards which we are heading (and the one I want to see).  I also never wanted to start a charity. I never want to be in a position where I have to be begging for donations to realize my ideas. Hence, I figured that a charitable arm could be a part of an actual, profit-making business. The business can finance the charitable arm and the charitable arm promotes the business.  This is why @Open Source Culture exists, and this is why it is a part of @SATOSH.EE and not a separate project.  View quoted note →

Broke an approx. 36h fast with one of my fave combos: avo on kumara (sweet potato) sourdough, grass-fed scotch steak, beef bone broth + topped it off with a few generous handfuls of salted pistachios 🤠 #foodtsr #ProofOfSteak

If you ask me, sensitivity is one of the greatest gifts a human being can be blessed with. But it’s also one of the biggest responsibilities and heaviest burdens. Make no mistake though, it IS a gift. In order to fully utilize it, you must be vulnerable, but antifragile. Open, but selective. Receptive, but assertive.
