In a discord chat with friends and acquaintances, this was posted: My response: Oh FFS I feel like I'm in a very small minority who's pro #Bitcoin but also finds this very gross. The reply: I think crytopcurrency has merits, but bitcoin specifically is incredibly wasteful due to the massive compute power needed for Proof of Work vs Proof of Stake à la modern Ethereum. Also, treating crypto as an asset class has made it so risky as to be close to worthless for the common person, in the same way the investor class ruins every damn thing it touches. We are so, so, so early.
