Software development is inherently a discovery process.
You should shift discovery left until you have enough clarity, but expect a residual amount to remain throughout.

“The output was unbridled garbage. Because effort was removed, so was the commitment, and with the commitment the focus, and with the focus any meaningful product at all.”

GenAI is an ADHD brain’s wet dream.
When the barrier to entry is near zero for the undisciplined, you get a Cambrian-like explosion of unfinished, unmaintained, half-baked digital goods.
A massive pile of digital junk keeps accumulating, accreting with every commit and push, increasing the cost of everything else that’s actually useful, and for many years to come.

Taxing secondary luxury second homes to make housing more affordable is retarded liberal logic.
Few can realistically afford those luxury homes (let alone the down payment).
So what if now they are now in the market? Most are likely massively priced out of them even with 20% price drop.

Imagine being forced to get a vibe-coded vaccine 🤬
The next vaccine is being made with AI.
Let that sink in.
@Victor Stabile can you use TeXster to post long form content with LaTeX or just consume? I have an article I want to post that needs LaTeX support.

So much of the world’s productivity is stuck in Big Fat Tech.
What would otherwise be great talent elsewhere is suckered into cyclic promotion-packaging assembly lines.
The layoffs, while unfortunate in the near term to those without safety nets, bring a much needed wave of innovation.
With some inefficiencies, the dispersion of talent goes into more interesting, less optimized corners of the world.
The world benefits when the bubble pops, it’s the catalyst that gives way to another tech renaissance.

> If AI does turn out to make you dumber, why can’t we just keep writing code by hand? You can! You just might not be able to earn a salary doing so, for the same reason that there aren’t many jobs out there for carpenters who refuse to use power tools. If the models are good enough, you will simply get outcompeted by engineers willing to trade their long-term cognitive ability for a short-term lucrative career.

- Draft an email in Gmail, using its “rich text” features
I am abstaining from expressing the actual emotion this simple task evokes within my very soul.
