Happy birthday to everyone's first and favorite chip, the 555 timer! Had to make a timer to control the fans for my plants, which was the perfect opportunity to dead-bug this circuit on this auspicious day. A chip, a capacitor, and two resistors, is all you have needed for an astable multivibrator for 55 years!

There was a song about Sandy Scheuer, called Hey Sandy. It was on Harvey Andrews' greatest hits record, which my parents would play on Sundays. As I grew up, I learned the tragic story behind the raw song.. I genuinely think everything I fight for today is because of Sandy. Fuck the jackboot cunts. ☮️

This is Amy. Amy was the first recipient of a Plant A Bit tomato plant and was very excited. Today, 16 of the tomato plants I have grown were distributed at the local food share. I will be starting vegetables and some utility herbs throughout the spring and summer to encourage people to decentralize the food system.
